From:
I am originally from San Diego, where I grew up and completed the first two years of my college degree before transferring to UC Davis.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from UC Davis
Graduate degree in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (BMCDB) at UC Davis
Hobbies:
Outside of lab, I enjoy hiking, running, baking and cooking for family and friends, and attempting to do different crafts and painting.
Research Interests:
In lab, I am working to uncover the mechanisms that underlie regeneration of the spinal cord in Xenopus laevis. More specifically, my project is looking at how Hedgehog signaling is involved and how this pathway is regulatingthe regeneration and differentiation ofmotor and sensory neurons.
