Jessica Muojekwu is a first-year medical student at UC Davis School of Medicine. Her research journey began during her undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, where she contributed to the Hnasko Lab, exploring various neurotransmitters in the ventral tegmental area and their implications for addictive behaviors. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Neurobiology in 2024 and later worked as a medication technician in assisted living facilities, gaining invaluable experience in the treatment and care of patients with dementia and those in hospice. Jessica's current research interests include investigating diseases affecting different areas of the body, assessing the impact of external stressors on overall health, and finding ways to improve patient outcomes. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing volleyball, experimenting with new recipes, and watching movies!
