Lab Positions

Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Positions are available immediately

NIH-funded research positions are immediately available in the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine, University of California at Davis, to study the mechanism and prevention of several common and severe structural birth defects, such as neural tube defects and orofacial clefts in genetically modified mutant mouse models. We currently focus on Wnt signaling and chromatin modification.

GSR candidates will conduct a lab rotation with us first. Rotation students will go through a time-consuming screening procedure (including immunization records, TB test, drug/alcohol screening, and background check) required by the Shriners Hospitals for Children where the lab is located. Postdoctoral candidates with demonstrated publication and related research experience, such as mouse genetic approaches, embryo manipulation, wholemount in situ hybridization, real-time PCR, immunoblot, chromatin immunoprecipitation, promoter luciferase assay, live imaging, cell sorting, RNA-seq/ChIP-seq analyses, and related genomic/epigenetic approaches are particularly welcome to apply.

Postdoctoral applicants may email their CVs (including research experience and technical expertise) and contact information of three references to Chengji Zhou (cjzhou@ucdavis.edu) for consideration.
